How are you paid?
Almega Wealth Management bills a very basic fee starting at 1% annually on the investments we are actually managing on behalf of our clients.
Do you sell any financial or investment products like annuities or insurance that make you commission?
No! Almega Wealth Management a “Fee-Only” Registered Investment Advisor. The term “Fee-Only” refers to how we are compensated. We are paid directly by our clients and do not earn commission or kickbacks for product sales or referrals. It is the only method of advisor compensation that is transparent, objective, and minimizes conflicts of interest. Additionally, being fee-only advisor means Almega Wealth Management must act in our client’s best interest as a fiduciary 100% of the time.
What does it mean to be a fiduciary?
Under the fiduciary standard, Almega Wealth Management is legally sworn and obligated to always place the best interest of our client’s ahead of our own. We must disclose any conflicts of interest, and clearly define how we are paid.
Do you charge extra for financial planning?
No! Financial planning is provided to both our Private Wealth Management and Ramsey SmartVestor clients. We do not charge an extra fee for financial planning.
I do not live near one of your offices. Can I still work with you?
Almega Wealth Management has offices in Arizona, Kentucky, and North Carolina. We also work with clients across the country and even internationally. We are not bound by geography when working with you. We seek out clients who are the best fit for our firm, regardless of where they are located.
Do I have to have a minimum account size or net worth to work with you?
Almega Wealth Management doesn’t have a stated minimum per se. We evaluate each client relationship individually to determine whether or not we will be able to have a significant impact on their financial plan, whether their values are aligned with ours, and whether or not we enjoy the time we spend with them.
Do you specialize in any particular type of client?
We are most known for helping successful families create a life beyond wealth. What we mean by a life beyond wealth comes from regaining the freedom of the here and now and by creating an environment for your children and grandchildren to be able to fail fast and fail forward without entitlement. Do you work remotely/virtually?
We work with clients throughout the country using virtual meetings, conference calls, e-mails, secure file transfer, and an integrated suite of client service and financial software. You do not need to be local to partner with our firm. We have a blog post about our setup, process, and technology for working virtually together, and what you can expect.
Of course, we are happy to meet face to face if you are nearby and we can travel to meet with you if it makes sense.
How often will we meet?
We have a very defined process for the frequency of progress meetings based on the complexity of our client’s needs. Typically, we hold formal progress meetings twice a year with regular check-ins in between.
Where will my investment accounts be held?
Client investment accounts are typically held at Charles Schwab or Altruist. All investment accounts are held in the client’s name at the respective custodian. Almega Wealth Management is only granted investment authority over your accounts.
What process and timeline can I expect when I become a client?
Our wealth management process is very distinct and unique. Typically, this is a three-week process before we are ready to schedule a mutual commitment meeting. Please click here for more information about this process.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Prior to scheduling a Discovery Meeting, we will conduct an informal introduction by virtual meeting, phone call, or in-person appointment. During this introduction, we will get to know one another and answer any questions you may have surrounding our services or your financial planning needs.
